Liberian born Project Runway alumni Korto Momolu(pronounced Cut • Toe – Mo • Mo • Lu)  is a  graduate of the L’Academies des Couturiers Design Institute in Ottawa, Ontario.Korto also studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City. During this season of NYFW,Korto presented her AW 2016 collection at the Affinia Hotel in downtown Manhattan. She first gained national acclaim for her impressive work on season 5 of Project Runway. She later appeared on season 3 of Project Runway All Stars. Since then she has been a part of Africa Fashion Week, and NYFW several times. She has designed for Miss Universe (Leila Lopes) and the President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

Korto Momolu's collection is titled:Every Dark Cloud Has A Silver Lining. It is a collection with fabric choices that embody the season, and the theme.. Leather, hounds-tooth and fur complement and balance the subdued colors of the season. The pallet for collection is mostly hues of gray, and black. These shades are tempered by silver, and charcoal elements. The collection also featured crocheted scarves that packed some volume. Bright yellow scarves and yellow fur boots provided a nice pop of color. Well done Korto, keep up the posh work.
