MBFW GO RED FOR WOMEN : The Red Dress Collection 2015

By :- R. Anthony Morrison

On Thursday February 12th, Mercedes Benz Fall 2015 kicked of it's first full day of shows.  One of the last shows of the evening brought celebrities to the runway for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® Red Dress Collection™. The collection is presented by Macy’s and features top designers, models and celebrities who demonstrate their support for women’s heart health during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Founded by The Heart Truth®, the event raises awareness among women who need to protect their heart health.

The celebrities walking the runway for Go Red were; Alexa Ray Joel. Barbara Eden, Bethany Mota, Carla Hall, Catt Sadler, Ciara, Dascha Polanco, Donna Mills, Hoda Kotb, Irina Pantaeva, Jennette McCurdy, Laverne Cox, Rosie O' Donnell, Star Jones, Thalia, Tracy Anderson, Zendaya Colean, and Fifth Harmony.

The organization seeks to inspire women to make a change because heart disease and strokes are not just a man’s disease. Studies show that more women than men die every year from cardiovascular disease. The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. We salute The American Heart Association, Go Red For Women, and all the designers, models, celebrities and support staff that made this event possible.
