MBFW S2014 b. michael : America the beautiful

B. Michael makes style and luxury look easy.  MBFW S2014 at Lincoln Center ended with a stunning collection which included a debut of b. michael's menswear line. The show was simply amazing, the inspiration for the collection is based on Giverny, the garden and Chateau of Claude Monet. The collection is superbly cohesive and started out with some fun ready to wear pieces for the ladies. It was a story that unfolded elegantly as the looks transitioned into some wonderful gowns in bright soft tones for elegant evenings and red carpet events.

The menswear was superbly tailored and would be a great addition to the wardrobe of any style conscious man. The color pallet included beige, off whites and some pastels. It was a line that was more sporty and casual, for those who are just hanging out on weekends or hanging out after hours, and not in full on work mode. The menswear line was definitely a pleasant surprise. The audience was spell bound by the collection and the enthralling presence of the statuesque models that gave the gowns life as they strutted the runway.  The show closed with a finale that brought the audience to their feet as the remarkable Lu Celania Sierra stole the show using every bit of her 6'3" frame to give fluid movement to the b. michael gown she wore, and remind the crowd who they were there for. She was magnificent! I can not think of a better way to end Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. Well done b. michael, well done.
