Designer Nicholas K is usually the first show on day one of NYFW. The backstage opens at 7am with the show scheduled approximately three hours later. Celebrity stylist Giannandrea brought his top hair game with eye twist . The models sported a clever side knot. The hair under the chin before being tied and held in place with a stylish hair pin. For the show the pieces that held the knot in place was made of  carved wood painted in the muted hues o the collection. While checking out the frantic preparations backstage we met Sherica one of the models walking in the show. Sherica (Trinidad & Tobago) She took the time give a shout out to her home T&T and to the Posh readers via Facebook. At Posh we love to know that Caribbean models are walking in major shows, the collection itself was definitely one worth getting up early for.

This ultra cool collection has a distinctive urban feel. It was in fact inspired by the urban environment. The collection has a sophisticated, and edgy style with colors rooted in the "Gotham" mood of the urban streets. Muted colors of charcoal on greys complement umber hued leather jackets. subtly patterned flowing light seperates. evoked a nomadic aesthetic,  The pieces in this new collection could easily cross seasons, and has something to offer for all lifestyles. I was very impressed with the blending of  leather, and some of the high end fabrics. Nicholas K designed a versatile collection that transitions effortlessly from day to night time.
