AGENT SASCO Agent Sasco (Assassin), one of Jamaica’s most-revered musicians revels in his creativeindependence. As artist and executive producer, Agent Sasco has been grounded in these rolesfor his masterpiece albums recorded at Diamond Studios—which he also owns and operates.“I’m internally driven, not by external forces,” declares Agent Sasco. Every two years Sasco has released an album:Theory of Reggaetivity(2016),Hope River(2018), andSasco vs. Assassin(2020).

The lyrical titan strikes again and recruits Bounty Killer and Kabaka Pyramid on a new remix for his summer anthem “Loco.” Deep in the midst of Jamaica’s lockdown in May, Agent Sasco took to a deserted street of Kingston to film the video for “Loco.” The track produced by Romain “Teflonzincfence” Arnett is bolstered by the pounding of a static bass drum, complimented by a frenzy of hip-hop-influenced scratches by Brooklyn’s DJ Treats. Agent Sasco sprayed his stream of consciousness about the off-center nature of crazy things in the world.
