The 2019 Caribbean POSHgirl POWER Brunch, is indeed the leading women’s networking event in the Caribbean. With the theme of “Collaboration vs. Competition,” this year’s brunch, ran from May 10-12 in the British Virgin islands. The event continues to build upon its innovative legacy to become a stylish, truly immersive three-day weekend experience by and for women making major waves in their industries.
“I am so excited about the fantastic slate of events and speakers this year,” said Janette Brin, publisher of Caribbean POSH magazine and the event’s founder. “Since the beginning, we’ve always offered the opportunity to network with hundreds of women and connect brands with clients, particularly in the areas of fashion, entertainment, marketing, and retail. For our 4th year, we really strived to make this not only a networking event, but a truly inspiring weekend ‘girls trip’ experience. Attendees will not only get dynamic panel discussions on beauty, style, money and power, and healthy living, they will ideally leave empowered, refreshed, and with a new appreciation for what it means to be a female entrepreneur in the Caribbean, and with the belief that this can be the start of their business boom.”
Nonstop learning, networking and fun
Hosted by reggae star Naomi Cowan, the event is targeted at entrepreneurs, leaders, designers and vendors from around the region. Sprawling across multiple venues BVI landscape, from a Day One welcome cocktail reception at Coconut Lounge inside the Tortola Pier Park featuring an acoustic performance by Naomi Cowan to a Day Two fashion-forward Scrub Island pop-up shop and beauty bar featuring some of the most exciting vendors in the region, to a soca beach brunch on Day Three, every moment will be packed with opportunities to connect, have fun and grow.
