My dear women in business, it’s time to move from hustle mode to step into your true CEO status. For far too long, the term “Female CEOs” has been used as an empowerment statement, but many never really stepped into what it truly means to live and run your business as a female CEO. It doesn’t really matter how often you say you’re a female CEO – if you don’t understand what that means and how to get there, you won’t make the transition. So let’s get into it!
What does it mean to be a female CEO? It means that you are running a business you understand. Now, that business is a tool in your hand to add value to your life, to the market, and to your present and future growth. You see, in the CEO mode, your business is working for you and your money is also working for you. So how do you make the transition from hustle to CEO boss moves? Here are a few tips I want to share with you.
1. Get A Clearer Vision
Whatever you see is exactly what you will build. Think about it – when all you need are problems, you tend to find more problems. When all you see is the next dollar that you need, then that’s what you chase. So the question is if you caught a glimpse of your life as CEO, what would it truly look like? Not just what it looks like in your business, but what your everyday life looks like. Your ideal vision should paint a picture of how you’re living, giving, and thriving at a point in time in your future. If you want to level up to CEO, you have to see your business beyond those ideal client statements and solitary product offerings. You have to see the lifestyle you truly want and create a business model to support that.
2. Fix Your Prices
If I am honest with you, most of the entrepreneurs that I have coached are constantly in hustle mode because their pricing strategy is bad. You are not truly a CEO if you can’t pay yourself for the work you do in your business. So, right now, you need to evaluate whether your present pricing structure is a profitable structure. Before you can price for value, you must price for profit. Here’s how you can start the evaluation process.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Am I making sales/having money coming into my business but still I can make ends meet?
- Do I regularly use the money from my salary or other streams of income to fund my business even though I am making sales?
- Do you struggle to find money to invest in my business to make it grow?
- Am I simply booked, busy and broke?
If you answered “Yes” to any of those questions above and you want to truly level up to CEO, you need to fix your pricing asap.
3. Duplicate yourself with process
When you are ready to level up to true CEO status, apply the art of duplication. Do you feel bogged down by all the little details in your business? Turn those details into a detailed process. You should not have to reinvent the wheel every time you prepare products, do administrative tasks, or even do the simple art of selling. Take what you usually do and turn it into a documented process. You can do this by creating an automated system or growing your team. There are a lot of solutions for hiring help – a customer service system, a virtual team or a computer program. Your help duplicates you. They deal with the routine tasks at the same time that you are making CEO decisions and moves. So, by automating your system or hiring a team, you get two hours of work in 1 hour of time. That’s the power of a process.
When you implement these three steps, you are well on your way to getting out of the hustle mode. Finally, you can start seeing the life you dreamed of when you first started your business. It all starts with a vision. I have this mantra and my community knows it well: See The Vision, Believe the Vision, Build the Vision™. The hustle mode keeps you from seeing clearly what your next level is, and it keeps you stuck. Interrupt that hustle with a clear vision. Build that vision with a business that has solid pricing and a great process.
So the question is, “are you ready to become the profitable female CEO you were made to be?” There is no time like now!
