Amashika Lorne

Amashika Lorne, has dedicated her career to catalyzing positive transformations and crafting solutions to complex societal issues. Hailing from Jamaica, Amashika’s journey toward impactful change commenced at Wolmer’s High School for Girls, where she laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. She honed her intellect and skills at the esteemed University of the West Indies, graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations.

Amashika’s professional odyssey has been a tapestry of versatility and excellence, threading through various sectors with finesse. With a passion for project management and marketing, she amassed invaluable experience that would later mold her into a consummate leader. Recently, she concluded her 2-year tenure as the Operations Manager for WiPay Jamaica, a leading fintech company in the Caribbean, facilitating seamless payment solutions for individuals and businesses. Concurrently, she spearheads Amashika & Associates Limited, a boutique public relations and communications firm based in Kingston, Jamaica, founded in 2019. Through her agency, she empowers individuals and organizations to enhance their messaging and execute impactful campaigns. Notably, her firm published a Jamaican-themed coloring book titled “Chat Tu Mi & Colour” in October 2019, aimed at nurturing creativity, alleviating child stress, and preserving Jamaican folklore and language. This has also lead to a lot of partnerships and activities with children – partnership with Reggae Month Secretariat in 2021 and 2022 for children-centric workshops for children and receiving the 207th Points Of Light Award from the United Kingdom.

Beyond her corporate engagements, Amashika emerges as a fervent champion for causes dear to her heart. Amashika advocates for children’s rights, art development, environmental conservation, and women’s empowerment, reflecting her multifaceted commitment to societal betterment. Her endeavors in environmental advocacy earned her the prestigious Francis Paco Kennedy Champion for the Environment Award from the KSAMC in 2015.

Amashika’s leadership shone brightly amid the adversity of the Covid-19 pandemic. Serving as the Project Manager of the E-Commerce National Delivery Solution (ENDS), a pivotal national initiative in Jamaica, she played a pivotal role in establishing an e-commerce directory, facilitating seamless operations for businesses, delivery providers, and regulators during the pandemic. ENDS garnered notable acclaim, receiving a business award from the RJRGLEANER Awards in 2021.

Amashika extends her impact beyond her professional capacities through her engagement with various organizations. As a Director for Action Art International, she contributes to the organization’s mission of driving positive change through art. Additionally, her entrepreneurial acumen led to the establishment of Amashika & Associates Limited, specializing in public relations, media management, and bookings.

With over 12 years of experience in media, Amashika has left an indelible mark as a television presenter. From her tenure as the host of “Healthy You” on TVJ in 2012-2013 to her four-year stint as the lead female presenter for “CVM At Sunrise” on CVM from 2018 to 2021, she has captivated audiences and disseminated vital information with aplomb.

Most recently, she was named the event ambassador for Image – The International Music Festival, which will see its 4thstaging taking place at Bikini Beach in Portland this Easter Weekend. Through this partnership, she will utilize a range of her skills – to guide the PR and communication of the team, conduct interviews with purveyors related to the entertainment space as well as explore attractions in the parish to guide persons to curate their Easter Weekend plans.

Tenille Clarke

As one of the most recognized Public Relations specialists in the Caribbean, Tenille Clarke is well- known across various industries for having her finger on the pulse of all things current, trending and relevant. She is the Managing Director and Principal Publicist of Chambers Media Solutions – a respected, full-service company that works alongside various events, organizations and personalities to handle high-profile Public Relations, Media, Communications and Entertainment portfolios. For her trailblazing career efforts that shape global culture, she was profiled by US-based MEFEater Magazine as a Woman To Watch 2024 – the only Caribbean resident to grace the prestigious list.

Ms. Clarke has propelled prominent brands across geographical borders. She has worked with entities such as Spotify Caribbean, New York Times-featured designer Solange Govia; former English Premier League footballer Kenwyne Jones; Reggae Superstar Julian Marley; Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient Scilla Owusu and Grammy-nominated musician and actor from the Bob Marley: One Love film, Hector Roots Lewis. On the culture and technology fronts, she has helped shape campaigns for notable Caribbean brands such as Grenada Tourism Authority, National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival HOT Couture, Cuttin’ Style Caribbean for Pan AM Games Toronto, the Inter-American Development Bank and the CARICOM Energy Unit, among others.

Tenille is also a Global Travel, Culture and Entertainment Storyteller who has penned articles for several publications, including Forbes, British Vogue, ELLE Magazine, InStyle, Essence Magazine, National Geographic Traveller, Lonely Planet, Teen Vogue and many more. Ms. Clarke has interviewed a number of globally-renowned celebrities, such as fashion icon Ms. Tina Knowles, Insecure star Issa Rae, The Little Mermaid lead actress Halle Bailey and Reggae legend Buju Banton.

This Social Impact Executive is also the Founder of Industry 360 – a safe-space initiative which aims to bring a holistic perspective to the Caribbean framework of the creative industries through advocacy, outreach and grassroots dialogue aimed towards the development of emerging professionals. Ms. Clarke has successfully collaborated on masterclasses and press trips in the arenas of fashion, beauty, Carnival and music, such as the Caribbean Cultural Diplomats Experience in New York City and The Oasis in Trinidad and Tobago. She has been invited to speak as a part of an esteemed panel for the 62nd Session of United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York City. Most prominently, she is the co-producer for the globally-known Spicemas Press Trip Experience, in collaboration with Mel&N Media Group and the Grenada Tourism Authority. Tenille has also been appointed a ‘40 Under 40’ Influencer by the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service in Trinidad and Tobago for 4 consecutive years, and is a UNESCO Transcultura Incubator Mentor.

Nneka Nurse, the visionary behind Best Dressed Plate and the Caribbean Tradishon dinner series, has established herself as a trailblazer in the world of culinary and cultural experiences. With a diverse background spanning event planning, fashion, interior design, film, and television production, Nneka‘s multifaceted expertise has allowed her to craft unforgettable moments that celebrate the rich heritage of the Caribbean diaspora.

At the heart of Nneka‘s work is a deep passion for showcasing the vibrant flavors, traditions, and talent within the Caribbean community. As the founder of Best Dressed Plate, she has become a beacon of excellence, building business awareness, events, and narratives that blend sophistication with cultural depth. Her skill set extends to championing Caribbean cuisine through innovative event concepts, strategic partnerships, and powerful storytelling.

Nneka‘s signature creation, the Caribbean Tradishon dinner series, has redefined the way the world experiences traditional Caribbean food by taking it from the streets to the seats. Held at prestigious venues like the James Beard House, Aliya, and internationally in Barbados during the Food and Rum Festival at The Local & Co, these highly acclaimed dinners have left an indelible mark, captivating her guest palates and forging meaningful connections around the culinary arts.

Driven by her commitment to elevating Caribbean culture, Nneka has also curated the highly successful Holiday Guest Chef Series, hosted at the United Nations for two consecutive years. This week-long impactful culinary food festival spotlighted the talents of chefs from across the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, further amplifying the global appreciation for the region’s culinary heritage.
