Kia Von Vega‘s garments are a favourite of women who love the chic, and hectic nightlife scene. Kia who is originally from Trinidad was inspired to create by her grandfather. Her grandfather was the first black male to turn into production a pair of jeans in the island country of Trinidad. She began to design after his passing drawing on the lessons she had learned from him. She went on to carve out a niche for herself in the fashion industry. Kia has presented past collections during New York Fashion Week. In 2006 she founded Clear Boutique, the edgy, line offers its customers a variety of style options. The looks are designed to transition from day right on through to night. Von Vega’s appeal to celebrity clients gave her brand a visibility that’s kept her on the radar of the fashion conscious.
Kia’s Pre-Fall collection was presented at a warehouse space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The fast paced show featured approximately 30 looks from the designer. Thigh high boots worn with swimwear, and a blue vinyl crop jacket. Another stand out was the brilliant graffiti print romper shorts worn with red leather thigh high boots. Kia’s other designs incorporated; stripes, and delicate silk creations. This collection definitely makes you want to get dressed up and go out somewhere wild, and fashionably chic.
