Trinidad and Tobago’s very own Queen of Steam, Lady Lava, is once again making waves on the global stage — and this time, it’s thanks to a major co-sign from none other than Cardi B. The Grammy-winning superstar has included Lady Lava’s infectious hit “Ring Finger” on her newly released Apple Music playlist, Summertime Sounds, calling it one of the songs she’s been playing on repeat.

Out of the 26 tracks — a powerhouse mix featuring the likes of GloRilla, Kehlani, Latto, Beyoncé, Tyla, Summer Walker, SZA, and Vybz Kartel — Lady Lava proudly stands as the only female artist representing the Caribbean. For her, the recognition is nothing short of exhilarating.

“When I first saw my ‘Ring Finger’ was featured on Cardi’s list, I was blown away,” Lady Lava shared. “I am appreciative of the love that Cardi shows me and my music, and I’m humbled to be included on a list with so many musical giants.”

Nearly a year after its release, Ring Finger continues to prove it has staying power, captivating listeners far beyond the shores of Trinidad and Tobago. With Cardi B’s stamp of approval, the track is now set to reach an even broader audience — a testament to both its irresistible energy and Lady Lava’s rising influence in the international music scene.
