STAR  MARTIN:  BIOGRAPHY

Born  and  raised  in  the  Virgin  Islands  (St.  Thomas)  Star  always  felt  the  love   for  the  beat  of  music  at  a  young  age.  At  the  age  of  5  she  started  gravitating   to  performing  through  dance,  which  aligned  with  her  singing  at  age  9.  In   her  teens  Star  competed  in  many  pageants  such  as  “Hal  Jackson  Talented   Teen”  where  she  took  the  title  for  best  talent.  Star  migrated  to  New  Jersey   in  2006  where  she  gained  the  title  for  “New  Jersey  Idol”  and  was  scouted   for  Broadway  shows  such  as  Lion  King  &  Chicago.

Fully  wanting  to  focus  on  music  Star  relocated  to  one  of  the  music  capitals   “Atlanta”.  While  gaining  recognition  in  Atlanta  she  placed  top  5  in  “Sing  for   your  Life”  (Atlanta’s  top  vocalist  competition),  Callback  round  for  “The   Voice”  in  2015  and  much  more.  From  there  Star  Martin  took  off  in  the   cultural  genre  “Soca”  with  songs  such  as  Mistaken  Identity,  Love  your   Culcha,  Dip  &  Roll,  Trouble  and  No  behavior.  Star  Martin  has  performed   alongside  some  of  the  greats  in  Soca  such  as  Destra,  Skinny  Fabulous,   Voice,  Mr.Killa,  Nailah  Blackman,  Shenseea  and  many  more.  Her  recent   works  consists  of  competing  in  the  St.  Thomas  Soca  Monarch  2019  and  also   the  release  of  her  latest  debut  EP  Called  E.L.E.M.E.N.T.  that  is  available  on   all  streaming  platforms.
